Aims and Scope
Aims
Sriwijaya Journal of Environment advances applied environmental science and engineering by publishing rigorous, internationally relevant research that connects local and regional evidence to global environmental challenges. The journal gives priority to studies situated in tropical and developing-country contexts and to work with clear implications for environmental policy, management, and practice.
Scope
The journal welcomes original research, systematic and critical reviews, and short communications in the following areas:
- Water and wastewater treatment, including constructed-wetland and nature-based systems;
- Environmental pollution, monitoring, risk assessment, and remediation (water, air, soil);
- Solid waste management, resource recovery, and circular-economy approaches;
- Ecology, biodiversity, and environmental and public health;
- Sustainable environmental infrastructure, geospatial analysis, and remote-sensing assessment of natural resources.
Out of Scope
To preserve focus and scholarly contribution, SJE does not consider: activity or programme reports without a research methodology; purely descriptive local studies that do not engage with the international literature; and opinion pieces lacking an empirical or data basis.
